During my time as a legal consultant I have advised, set up and managed many national and international businesses. Having assisted clients, in various sectors, through start up, contract agreements, new employees, Insolvency and disputes this has provided me with the understanding of the legal issues involved and the experience to help achieve solutions for the future.

As well as a being a qualified mediator I also have a BA (Hons) law degree and I am finalising my Masters of Law. During my studies I have gained knowledge and valuable experience in the areas of business, corporate social responsibility and employment relations.

Civil/Commercial Mediation

Commercial Mediation is a way of resolving disputes without going to court. Mediators can work on a wide range of cases including contracts, property disputes, insurance disputes (such as personal injury), inheritance disputes and problems with construction.

As trained mediators we will work with people or businesses in dispute, both privately and together, to help you resolve your differences through negotiation. The majority of mediations make an agreement on the day saving you time, money and the stress of attending court.

Workplace Mediation

Conflicts between employees, managers, unions or even directors within the workplace aren’t good for your business or employee relations. They take up your time, money and create a toxic work environment. They can harm staff performance and productivity.

Disagreements can occur over a number of issues whether it be employment conditions, pay, contracts, grievance or disciplinary, or unfair and constructive dismissal, we can come to your site and work with you in person to fix disputes and repair relationships through mediation.

The Mediation Process

PRE-MEDIATION PREPARATION:
Both parties gather all relevant documents, including policy documents and any supporting evidence.

PRE-MEDIATION MEETING:
The mediator will meet with each party individually via video call to get an understanding of specific needs.

OPENING SESSION:
The mediator will open the session and then each party will present their opening statement to outline their position and objectives.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS:
The mediator holds private, confidential meetings with each party to establish the facts, discuss the issues and explore potential solutions.

NEGOTIATION:
The parties, with the mediator's assistance, negotiate a resolution that addresses their needs and interests.

THE FINAL JOINT MEETING:
Once a solution is outlined or there is an overlapping agreement the parties will come together to finalise and draw up the agreement.
